He is regarded as a pioneer in the sphere of leadership and executive coaching in India, popularizing the use of coaching as a means of personal and organisational development.
Krishna Kumar has developed his AWARE™ Coach philosophy, that incorporates concepts and practices from sports psychology and organizational behaviour to enhance performance of business leaders. He has worked as an executive coach with top executives from diverse cultures and countries across Asia, Europe and North America. His clientele includes Oracle, CISCO, TESCO, DELL, Tata Group Companies, Boeing, Infosys, WIPRO, Robert Bosch, Polo Ralph Lauren, Manhattan Associates, Legal & General (UK), Decathlon (France) and many others.
He is active member of the international coaching community. In 2016-17 he was the first person outside of North America to be elected as the Global President of the Association of Coaching (IAC), widely recognized as the premier coach credentialing association and continues to represent them as the IAC Presidential Ambassador. He has been a seven time Headline Panelist at the World Business & Executive Coaching Summit, the Desafio Coaching Conference and delivered the keynote address at global IAC and ICF coaching conferences. He is also an Adjunct faculty at one of Asia’s top ranked Business school, the Indian institute of Management, Bangalore, where he co-offers a popular bi-annual Leadership Development program titled, “Creating High Performance Organizations.”
Previous Experience
Krishna started his corporate career in the early 80’s with Madura Coats, the Indian arm of British textile multinational Coats Viyella, and progressed rapidly to be appointed Commercial Director & General Manager for their Middle East operations. He held ex-pat postings based in Istanbul and later Dubai, with profit centre responsibility for operations in 13 Middle East countries.
Having tasted early corporate success, he ventured into the entrepreneurial world and set up businesses in India that included textile consulting, direct-to-home marketing and a CRM technology service.
Krishna’s passion for tennis coaching led to the foundation of the Kinesis Tennis Academy, an organization that is today rated amongst India’s premier professional tennis training institutes. As a USPTR (United States Professional Tennis Registry) certified tennis coach professional for over two decades, he has received the USPTR India President’s award and the 2011 USPTR Coach of the Year award.

Interests
When Krishna is not kept busy coaching youngsters in the tennis court, he enjoys writing short stories and poetry, reading diverse subjects including psychology and philosophy and travelling.
